 Become a member for just $10 a month to use the co-working space, free wifi, discounts off books, ability to host an event, and contribute to a sustainable system. How to join? It’s not fancy but it works. Fill in your membership card in store, put $10 in the yellow jar and your name on the mailing list. You can also pay by credit card or direct debit, just send us a message on Facebook or drop in store. Our members keep us open and the stories flowin’!

 In five months, we have established theIllawarra's only second-hand book store.And in a way that promotes the diversity you don't often find in mainstream stores.

 We have seen the development of two fortnightly member-run events; **//Storyteller Sessions//** allows musicians to peel back the curtain to share the stories behind their music, and **//Rally Point Cinemascreens//** documentaries with local relevance and links participants with actions to create meaningful change.

 We have enabled **//Girls on Key//**, a non-binary poetry collective based in Newcastle, to bring their events to the Gong.
 Last and certainly not least, our founding resident org, **//Hidden Harvest//** continue to do the amazing work of educating the community about food waste. Working with surplus food they host community dinners and cooking workshops that encourage people to see and taste the hidden value of wasted produce.
